The Chocolate San Ginés in Marbella and its wonderful terrace-café, is located next to the plaza of Africa, in the historic heart of the city of the Costa del Sol. Our terrace café has become a destination for domestic tourists and foreign residents marbella who want to enjoy our famous chocolate with churros, ice cream, sandwiches, juices and coffees.
This property is part of a business group with a long professional career in the sector of hospitaliy, and our history can be traced back to the well-known chocolate San Ginés in Madrid.
The local, built in 1890 as a tavern and inn, and was transformed in 1894 in an establishment specialising in the production of churros traditional way, known as "shoulder" In the 1930s, it adopted the name of "The Hidden" due to its location between passages, and has been mentioned in literary works, and rewarded with the honors Circle of Readers, and the city Council of Madrid as the Historic Centre of Tourism.
This chocolate won popularity among both Spanish and foreign, as it became the place where it was celebrated on the first chocolate of the year due to its proximity to the Sun Gate. In addition, the famous club Joy Eslava, known for their schedules until the wee hours of the morning, sent his nocturnal visitors to have breakfast here before going to sleep. Throughout the generations, this popularity has been transmitted and today remains a reference site.
Our tables and bar of white marble, countertop, tiled, the walls are decorated with mirrors and wooden frames in shades of green, adorned with photos of famous people that have visited our properties, are the hallmark and the essence of our supply chain.
